A Little House Christmas

This Christmas, step back to the snug log cabins and snow-covered prairies of the Ingalls family, where gifts are handmade with love, candy is pulled by hand, and wonder is found in the simplest things. For three weeks, cozy, old-fashioned fun becomes the heart of your holiday season as your family slows down and savors the season together.

Trade long to-do lists for molasses candy bubbling on the stove, snowy nature walks, and stories read aloud by the fire. Through gentle, hands-on learning, you will bake old-fashioned treats, study the winter world outside your window, make keepsakes to treasure, and fill a keepsake Christmas journal with drawings and memories, with a journal for mama too, all wrapped in the candlelit, cocoa-warm magic of the season.

Throughout these three weeks, we will read A Little House Christmas by Laura Ingalls Wilder, a treasury of five beloved Christmas stories from the Little House books.

• Explore the frozen world through Charlotte Mason-inspired nature study of animal tracks, animals in winter, and blizzards
• Look closely at famous winter paintings by Horace Pippin, Winslow Homer, and Vincent van Gogh
• Make cozy keepsakes, from clove apples to a no-sew fleece blanket for read-aloud time
• Bake and cook your way through the season with peppermint bark, popcorn balls, and hearty frontier meals
• Craft handmade gifts and gather for movie nights with warm, old-fashioned treats
• And more...

Centered on your elementary-age kids but ready for the whole family, it trades a packed holiday schedule for baking, crafting, nature study, and stories by the fire, the simple moments that become the memories your children carry for years.

Recommended for all ages. Includes adjustments for a variety of ages.
